Happy Hump Day Hustle, everybody, happy Wednesday so real quick, as the title states, we’re bringing up – we’re talking about branding a little bit today. It’s a very interesting topic, and of course, we are learning different aspects of how to properly brand ourselves all the time. As usual, I remembered – let me turn the timer on. I’m sorry in advance if I go over. Hopefully, it’s important enough if I do. All right, so here we go, five minute ticker. You all know I’ve got to do that, or I’ll run over.
Anyway, so what is branding? What is branding? What we’ve learned so far about branding is this. The first thing that comes to mind is a lot of us in this business think that we’re identified by the business or the products that we are representing. A lot of us in the beginning and tons still now that haven’t learned think that by spewing that stuff to our peers is how we’re supposed to build and grow our business.
What Leta and I have learned – by the way, this is Danny with Danny and Leta. What we’ve learned and we’re constantly learning how to get better at is how to brand ourselves. We brand ourselves by doing certain things in certain ways at certain times to create relationships. It’s our first priority to create a relationship and try to provide value on a regular basis that you guys can somehow apply to your business and help you guys grow. We’ll grow together and learn together. If you have faith in what we’re doing and what we have after that, then you’re more willing to be open to a conversation about what we utilize or sell or whatever product-wise, service-wise, whatever.
The object it not to just spew our products and services out there and see what sticks and hope people just barrel through the door. We’ve learned that’s not how to do it. Our goal is to put ourselves out there and try to just serve as much as we can as we learn. Then pass on to you guys and even those that don’t know us that might stumble on us online or whatever. It’s our joy to pass on what we learn from the folks that we put our faith and trust in to you guys and help you guys grow, whether you choose to go down the same path as us or not.
Just let me give you a couple of ideas about branding. To me, branding is what is the first thing that people think about you whenever you enter the room? I can’t remember where I heard that before. I’m not going to take credit for those exact words. What do I want you guys to think about Leta and me whenever we come to your mind at any point during the week, whether it’s a Live or you see us online somewhere or whatever.
We want folks to know that we are as giving as we can be. We’re as generous with our knowledge and everything as we can be, and we want people to succeed, period, end of discussion. We’re no gurus. We’re no geniuses. We simply learn and pass on what we know to you guys down our journey. Those who choose to join us on this journey will hopefully not be disappointed.
Now, another thing is I was talking to a guy I work with recently. A simple example of this, when we go to the grocery store and let’s – our example is aspirin. Talking about branding, you go to CVS. For goodness sake, I’m sorry guys. You go to CVS, and you see a shelf full of tons of different brands of aspirin. Generally speaking, I think most of that aspirin is the same. The difference is the branding, the packaging, and at various price points.
Let’s relate that to us and other people that are out there doing the same thing. We’re all people. We’re all humans and individuals with feelings. Okay, guys, I hope you don’t mind, but I’m going to take this a little further instead of stopping. I’ll be quick. We’re all human beings. We all have emotions. We all bleed red.
What’s the difference? What’s the difference in this business? Where we try to stand out is just by being ourselves, and that’s what we wish other people would do. If you guys are struggling to build your business, you’re wondering what in the heck am I supposed to do, this, that, and the other? I hope you see this at some point in your future and just see – any of you that know Leta and me, you know we’re not perfect. We don’t try to be perfect. We don’t want to be perfect.
We just want to do the best job we can at being ourselves, which is part of our brand, our ever-growing and ever-building brand. Those of you guys and anybody else that’s out there that can relate to us, that jive with us, those are the folks that are going hang out with us and continue down the journey with us. We’re not going to appeal to everybody, so the point is our flavor of aspirin isn’t going to be right for everybody. You’re going to move – you’re going to resonate with someone else, and that is completely fine. That’s the beauty of it. There’s no stress or pressure here.
It’s so much less stress when you’re just simply trying to be yourself. I mean, if you all have seen any of my videos before, you see where I’ve admitted, man, I struggle with ADD a lot, not terribly. I mean, my whole life has been a struggle. I’m a risk taker. I’m a nut. I drive my wife crazy, Leta. Thank God for her.
If you know Leta, she’s a goofball. She loves sports. She’s got a heck of a sense of humor, and again, she’s got patience for me. I’m pretty big ding-dong, but together, we love learning and passing that knowledge on to you guys and others. We like to do it in silly ways sometimes and, again, just by being ourselves.
That is our personal brand. That is our brand. Like I say, hopefully, we resonate with as many people as possible that jive with that and can appreciate that. Those that don’t, no problem. Adios until later maybe. Hopefully, you find somebody that you do. Anyway, that in a nutshell is how we approach branding and how we understand it.
Leave a comment below. If you’ve got any questions, if we can help maybe dive deeper into that, instant message us, and we’ll be happy to pass on some resources that have helped us. That’s it, guys. Just be yourself. Be yourself. Be confident in yourself.
Just pass on what you learn, but again, don’t lead with product or service. Lead with yourself. Add value as much as possible, but again, to do that, you have to learn. We have to learn. I believe Zig Ziglar said it, and I also heard Jim Rohn say this. “You learn first. You practice it, and then you teach it.” That’s what we really love to do, and again, keep passing on value to you guys and others as much as possible.
That’s all I got for today; again, happy Hump Day. Kill the rest of your week. Merry Christmas coming up, goodness, it’s next Friday. That’s about all I got, so thanks again for tuning in. Leave a comment below. Let’s see what we can do to help you on some things. Share with us some of your experiences recently. We love to chat with you if possible.
Until next time, take care. Don’t forget, reach out and love somebody. Adios. Bye now.
